Design :: Mixing in Minimalism

Minimalism, in it's simplest form, is the appreciate of space + value.

As an event venue, we take both the appreciation of space and the appreciation of value very seriously, not only for ourselves but for our clients as well. While minimalism might not be an option for all of our client + event types, decor and design, there are times when it comes to weddings that the old saying holds some truth: less is more. Mixing in the idea of minimalism for your day-of might sound like a great idea, but if you're like a lot of brides out there, you're probably wondering, "Where are places to cut the clutter and instead craft a more inviting design?" Think clean lines, a nu-spin on neutral palettes, fresh green foliage, clear glass vases, and versatile linens. Without giving it all away up front, here are a few of my favorite ways to mix minimalism into your celebration of marriage.

Clean, modern lines + hygge aesthetic.

Neutral color palettes.

Simplified floral + greenery arrangements.

Pressed paper goods + glassware.

Inviting food + dessert displays.

Candles, candles, candles.

Cohesive styling of welcome table + foyer.

Table numbers, seating charts and menus to inspire impressions.

Hand lettering on name cards + signage.

Traditional, five piece place settings.

Suspended string lighting.

Thoughtfully placed personal items + remembrance displays.

Airy table linens, runners and draping.
