We've seen couples craft guestbooks from world atlas's to wine bottles and everything in between. This will become more than just a coffee book, more than just another book to stack away in the closet. Instead this will be a book that you will cherish the rest of your lives, and a tradition that we hope never goes out of trend!

A lot of couples take gorgeous engagement photos, and only pick one or two for their save-the-dates. So instead of letting those pretty pictures go unseen, use the images to create a custom guestbook that your friends and family can flip through and write sweet messages to the two of you. I'm a big proponent of all-things-tangible, so to have an additional wedding album coupled with the loving words of your wedding guests is a win-win!

This was one of the most unique guestbooks that we've ever seen, but we loved it! This was a special surprise from the parents of the bride in lieu of a traditional, actual book. The best part of the surprise? The first signature on the guitar was from Tim McGraw, which is the artist whose concert was where this bride and groom first met!

Picture Perfect :: On your welcome table have a basket of blank vintage postcards and photographs for guests to fill out with advice and funny memories. I promise that you'll end up using these, especially during the first year of marriage! You can use these for coasters for your drinks. You could use a clear polyurethane to seal the images and handwritten messages, and use them for photos on the wall, fridge, or even in your office at work as sweet + simple reminders from your wedding day!

We loved our clients use of the top of a wine barrel as a guestbook! Not only was it perfectly unique, but the wood grain on the barrel was gorgeous, especially stamped with their new married monogram!

Love is patient, Love is kind :: You could have guests highlight their favorite Bible verses and leave handwritten messages of meaning next to them, or put out blank advice cards for guests to leave their thoughts and well wishes. This is not only a sweet idea but also a symbolic gesture of the foundation of your marriage.

For the Adventurers :: Have your guests sign the pages of a world map, road atlas, or hiking guide to highlight the cities they are traveling from or destinations they know the couple is interested in exploring. This is a great idea for brides and grooms that have either a case of wanderlust or at least an appreciate for the travel.

To have and to hold and to hang on your wall :: The use of salvaged barnwood, linen canvases, chalkboards, and frames is not only a pretty detail on your day-of, but it's also a piece of decor that you'll keep forever.
